India News Haryana honours Haryana police with ‘Shaurya Samman’

Recognising the Haryana police’s commendable and tireless efforts, India News Haryana announced the winners of the “Shaurya Samman”, presented by RAS and co-presented by Su-Kam, to honour the force for its exemplary courage and determination to make society better and safer. India News Haryana celebrated the triumph of these unsung brave hearts in a glittering ceremony at The Lalit, Chandigarh on Friday 22 May. The winners were felicitated by Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.

The members of the jury were Y.P. Singhal, DGP, Haryana; Vineet Narayan, senior journalist; Justice R.C. Gupta, retired judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court; Arvind Kr. Goel, social worker & philanthropist and Deepak Chaurasia, Editor-in-Chief, India News.

Speaking on the occasion, Kartikeya Sharma, managing director, iTV Network said, “We are proud to honour the Haryana police for their outstanding contribution and making not only the Haryana region but the whole nation proud. My heartiest congratulations to all the winners.”

Deepak Chaurasia said, “It was an absolute privilege to appreciate and felicitate the Haryana police for their selflessness and their courage to put their lives on line every day for the sake of our people and our society. Their tales of valour and determination are truly inspirational for all of us.”

The winners in different categories were Sandeep Kumar, Karan Singh (martyr), Rakesh Kumar, Hoshiyar Singh, Dhani Ram, Ram Kumar, Omprakash, Anil Kumar, Vinod Kumar.
